Handling Life’s Problems

As we go through this thing called life, there are bound to be some ups and downs. I was once told, when problems bring you down you have to get back up because when another problem presents itself, it is hard to fight on your back. In order to be successful and continue on your journey, you must master the handling of disappointments in your life.

Whether it is a bad relationship, a loved one has been called home, or financial distress, there are certain to be moments in life where you ask God, why?  Why did this happen to me, I read the book, I prayed the prayers, I fasted, I trusted, I believed, why me Lord!

Being Used for God
God could be using us to help someone else.  There are many disappointments in my life that has actually turned out to be blessings for others.  Because of these experiences, I am now in a position to help others who may be experiencing the same issues and more importantly I am able to see them to victory.  In his word, he says his grace is sufficient for thee (2 Corinthians 12:9). So no matter what you are going through, know that God promises to see you through – gracefully.

Problems are Temporary
I want to let you know you can rejoice, because problems are only temporary.  The word says, affliction, is just for a moment (2 Corinthians 4:17) and another scripture reads – joy cometh in the morning  (Psalm 30:5)!  No matter what you are going through, you have to remain steadfast, trusting and believing God’s word is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  And he promises he will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).

Remember, it is a test of our faith.  Anyone can pray when their health is excellent, your children are on the honor roll, or your marriage is in one piece.  But true believers pray when they received the bad news from the doctor, the spouse wants to call it quits, or they lost a loved one.  They know that this is only a test and in order to obtain true victory, they must continue to stand for God and in turn God promises to stand up for them.

Trust His strategy not your own
We all have our own plans, we all know where we want to be this time next year, and know if it is God’s will you will certainly be there, however if it is not, he will lead you another way (a better way even).  No, sometimes we don’t understand it, but the word says, lean not to thine own understanding, but to his (Proverbs 3:5).  You must understand, life is like a long road, and your eyes can only see so far ahead, but isn’t it good to know God can see all the way down the road!

So when life takes you for an unexpected turn or things don’t quite work out the way you envisioned, stand still and know God still cares for you.  Lift up your hands and continue to pray because one day you will be able to say, God I thank you for seeing me through this.

Today, God wants to know, do you still believe?  Do you still trust him?  Are you bold enough to believe there is life at the end of the road?  Just as God did it for Job, he is certain to do it for you, he promises those that believe in him will not be put to shame. Keep believing and trusting in him, he knows what’s best for you.
